The German side is actively preparing the Norman summit, although there are no prerequisites for its holding, the ambassador said.
German Ambassador to Ukraine Anka Feldguzen said that Germany is working intensively on the preparation of the Norman summit in Berlin, despite the fact that there are no prerequisites for its holding. About it she said in an interview with Gromadsky on Friday, February 14th.
“There are different assessments of this summit now, but it seems to me that the final declaration of the summit is supposedly a guideline for all parties today, and they are working in this direction. Especially my colleagues in Germany. They are preparing the next meeting to be held in April. They are really working hard to ensure that the next meeting is successful, "said Feldguzen.
The ambassador also noted that the prerequisites for holding the Norman meeting have not yet been created, because in Berlin its participants should talk about the political component of the Minsk agreements.
“But this can change. We work every day so that there is a result and there is progress. We cannot predict what will happen in April,” the ambassador summed up.
Recall that earlier Zelensky and Putin discussed a new meeting. The presidents of Ukraine and Russia also discussed the exchange of held persons and the implementation of the agreements reached.
It was also reported that the Foreign Ministry doubted the Norman meeting in April. The Foreign Ministry said that at the moment it does not see preparations for a possible new meeting in the Norman format.
